Dikchu Youth Welfare Association (DYWA) is a non-government voluntary organization working for the integrated development of rural communities in Sikkim basically past more than one decade with a motto of “Helping people to help themselves” & “Youth for Peace & Development”. DYWA with its vast experience in implementing community development programs is considered as “Model for an integrated Community Development”.                                                                                                                                                                          

DYWA Development Training Centre (DDTC) from past half decade is rendering noble service of training and empowering thousands of development professionals and community leaders and is evolving as a “center of excellence” in Sustainable Community Development. DDTC is considered as a light house to development organizations across the state.                                                                                                   

DDTC is now pleased to announce three day-long "NGO Management" - Capacity Building Program with Field Exposure. This program is scheduled from 27th – 29th Jan, 2014 at DYWA Head Office, Dikchu, North Sikkim. This program is targeted and specially designed in both theoretical and practical aspects of various approaches, methodologies and tools for development practitioners working in Community Development to meet current and emerging demands to make developmental interventions more inclusive, effective, efficient and sustainable. The course is designed to be participatory and will build upon the experiences of the participants giving ample opportunities for cross learning.                                                                                                                                                                                             

The cost of the three day-long training is only Rs. 2500 per trainee. But partial scholarships are available on the first come first serve basis. The maximum intake number for the training program is only 25. Hence we request to confirm your participation at the earliest or 15 days prior to date of commencement by sending nomination of two functionaries from your organization attached to this email i.e. dywadikchu@gmail.com                                                                                                                                                                           

To encourage the participation of NGOs from different districts in capacity building programs, DDTC provides food and accommodation – (Non A/C rooms 2/3 sharing basis) at its own guest house in Dikchu. The training will also be held in the conference hall of DYWA, Dikchu, North Sikkim. At the end of the program the trainees will be provided course material in soft as well as some hard-copies also awarded certificate to each participant. Resource faculty will be assigned from Hyderabad, Assam, Chennai, Sikkim and Nepal.
